Sunshine Boutique Hotel By Estia - Malia (Crete)

I stayed for 3 nights in a double room with pool view, and sunshine exceeded my expectations in every way. The breakfast was a good spread of fresh fruits and local specialties, especially toula. The pool area was fine.

Fashionable neat rooms with particularly nice views, and an electric kettle, a mini bar fridge, and an air conditioning. Delicious breakfast, good food. Good service from the outstandingly accommodating, exceptionally kind staff members.

The rooms offered a good blend of comfort and cleanliness, with refreshing decor, made me feel cute, almost like staying at my daughter's place when she decorates for the holidays.

Not to mention that the AC had a horrible smell, which totally ruins the ambiance. I almost left a great review, but the lack of a complimentary bottle of water to ease my suffering just sealed it for me. Disgusted by the whole experience.

The only downside was the occasional noise from nearby celebrations, so be prepared for that if you're a light sleeper.

The lively pool area is a great spot to mingle, with a buzzing atmosphere that keeps the energy high. Plus, there's a bar with affordable drinks, perfect for pre-gaming or unwinding under the sun.

The double room felt smaller than advertised, and the lack of basic amenities like a fridge made it tough for those wanting to store their snacks. Showers had poor water pressure and no hot water in the mornings, while noise from quad bikes outside was a constant annoyance. Bed comfort left much to be desired, with stained sheets upon arrival and only minimal cleaning service . The air conditioning was uneven. Frustrating for hot nights when it failed to cool properly. Lastly, the constant upselling for additional services felt a bit heavy-handed.

The pool area was stunning, providing a serene escape after a day exploring Malia's vibrant nightlife. 🏖️ The breakfast spread had delicious local specialties but wish the AC was a bit more reliable at night.

The queen room had all the essentials you need on a budget - an electric kettle, a mini fridge with a mini bar, and air conditioning to keep you cool. The service was fantastic and the food was top-notch. 😊
